Cooks, babysitters available. If you are wanting a fast and furious city life, this isn't the place for you, but, if you're wanting the opposite (in maximum comfort), this is definitely for you.

The Umbria region

Umbria is not known as the green heart of Italy for nothing; more verdant than it's neighbours, more beautiful and more welcoming. You'll hardly hear English being spoken and certainly won't find signs for 'Fish & Chips'. Not a single Umbrian native would ever want this to become another Tuscany! Endless ancient hill top towns to visit; all with a history, culture and welcome of their own.

Umbertide area

The shops will tell you that Umbertide (20 min.) is not a poor town, with all the facilities you could want. At a similar distance is the beautiful capital, Perugia, with an historic centre and world famous festivals. Nearby Lago Trasimeno is the largest lake in the Italian peninsula and enchanting with it's waterside ways.

Further details outdoors: There are just five houses in 300+ acres of the most spectacular part of the Umbrian Hills; there are many beautiful places in the world, but none more so than Racchiusole. Peace and quiet guaranteed, but with plenty for the active to do, with our own astroturf tennis court, games field and genuine tipi meeting place.
