La Florida, in the area of Orihuela Costa, is less than a 10 minutes drive south of Torrevieja. It has a very multi-cultural feel as many people from other countries now live in this area and actually outnumber the Spaniards!This area is a favourite for British and Irish ex-pats. Consequently, the shops, bars and restaurants in this area originate from many nationalities to provide food to suit all tastes - from the native Spanish to Italian, French, German, Chinese, Indian, Korean, Scandinavian, Argentinian, Hungarian, Mexican cuisine, etc. |

Nearby bus service into Torrevieja town or various taxi ranks throughout the area. The EU Blue Flag beaches at Playa Flamenca and La Zenia have vast expanses of golden sands and there are jet-ski's, a banana boat and pedalo's in the summer months, as well as the usual bars on the beach. The property is 2 km from the beach - 5 minutes drive or 30 minutes walk. However, there is local ring bus service to Playa Flamenca beach during between July and mid September. It is only a 10 minutes drive to golf courses of Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas. |
