Ozak Villalari is a beautifully-tended site , with 24 hour security, on a hillside overlooking the delightful seaside resort of Torba.The villa is airy and spacious and furnished in traditional Ottoman style. Ten minutes from the tourist hub of Bodrum, Torba is completely different in character, being a popular but quiet centre for Turkish family holidays.A working fishing port, it also boasts a number of hotels, cafes and restaurants along the waterfront from where there are stunning views across the bay. Ozak has its own exclusive waterside terrace with sunbeds and umbrellas and a small snackbar.Dolmus, or minibuses, run from the complex gates to Bodrum ( and numerous other destinations on the peninsula) every few minutes.It is therefore possible to have a relaxing sun and sea holiday along with plenty of entertainment and a taste of Turkish culture and traditions.

Western Turkey is steeped in 5000 years of dramatic history and is the cradle of European civilisation.Many inspiring ruins still stand in the landscape of mountains, pine forests, olive groves , turquoise seas and beaches that drew those first Greek colonists. There is abundant sunshine from March to November and the famed hospitality of the Turks is just as warm. Major Greek sites within reach of Bodrum include Ephesus and Didyma and to the south at Dalyan there are the rock tombs of Telmessos, a visit to which also includes a boat trip along reed-fringed waterways to a glorious beach where endangered turtles come to lay their eggs and finishes with a mud bath.Other excursions which can be arranged from Bodrum include a boat trip to the Greek island of Kos, or a coach ride to the 'cotton castles' of Pamukkale where limestone deposits cascade down the mountainside in a series of pools. Oh, and there's a Greek city there too. |

Bodrum is a cosmopolitan centre with all the facilities of a 21st century resort whilst retaining its eastern ambiance and traditions. The narrow streets behind the magnificent Crusader castle contain a wealth of small shops selling all kinds of Turkish handicrafts as well as designer-influenced clothes. There are small Turkish teashops and eateries where you go into the kitchen to choose your dish. Or there are stylish modern bars and water-side restaurants offering the freshest seafood alonside the grandest view of the castle. |
