Home description

The villa is completely private and set in a rustic location in it's own private grounds. Cacti & succulants are planted to blend in with the surrounding countryside. You can stock up on food and drinks and not feel the need to move at all! The stunning views, atmosphere, sounds of the cicades & bird song will help to relax even the most stressed out person!

The Algarve region

The villa sits in the municipality of Silves. Silves is the old Moorish capital of the Algarve steeped in history with a beautiful castle and cathederal which can been seen from the villa. There are 2 beautiful reservoirs (barragems) nearby, signposted from the main E124 road. It is worth the drive around the twisty roads through the beautiful countryside to pay a visit here.

Silves Franqueira area

Silves & Messines are approx 10 mins drive from the villa. A medieval festival is held in Silves around the castle usually in the first 2 weeks of August. Cafe Inglese at the foot the castle has music nights at the weekends and every Sunday afternoon. There are several cobbled streets to explore on foot with cafes and bars. Messines is a typical Portuguese town, worth exploring. Most towns have a market once a month in rotation, usually on a Monday. Low cost airlines Easyjet and Ryanair fly to Faro from many UK and Irish airports. Car hire can either be arranged at Faro or online before you arrive. There are numerous taxis at the airport, the approximate cost of a one way trip to the villa is 60Euros.

There is a hairdryer in each bedroom. A 40" HD flat screen TV, Wii games console with games & footboard are provided. A foodpack is available if required at an extra charge of 25Euros. Please request this when booking & it will be ready for you on arrival. The Wi-fi broadband is included. A computer with printer and Skype access is available at a charge of 25Euros per week if required.
Further details outdoors: The private drive leads to a large shingled parking area surrounded by peaceful countryside with stunning views. The built in BBQ has an adjacent sink & working area with a large wooden dining table & 6 chairs. The second lounge terrace has a wooden suite with cushions for evening drinks. There are several shaded seating areas around the villa, perfect for admiring the wonderful views. We recommend walking shoes if you like to explore the beautiful walks on foot.

Further details

25% deposit required to secure booking. Full payment of balance required 8 weeks before arrival, together with security deposit of 250Euros. The security deposit will be refunded in full after 1 week assuming there are no breakages or other damages, the cost of which will be deducted from the deposit. Anna Rose manages the villa & deals with bookings & payments. We can accept payment in either sterling or euros. Directions to the villa will be given once you have paid in full.
