Both modern and luxurious,the apartments are set in a peacefull,tranquill area of Side where a relaxing holiday can be assured.They are set with views over a large crystal clear swimming pool.The long,well renouned golden sandy beach of Side is a 10 minute walk away where all watersports can be found.The hustle and bustle of Side town is just a 5 minute taxi ride away.Taxi`s can be found just outside the apartment,along with a free beach bus.Just a 35 minute drive away are 7 championship Nick Faldo designed golf courses and skiing (Jan-April)is just 50km away in the mountain range visible behind the apartments.An aqua park is approx 45 mins drive away and many trips are available to places of historical interest.The area is saturated with Turkey`s Roman etc history.Horse riding stables,white water rafting,sailing,boat trips,quad bike and jeep safaris are all available and all nearbye and cheap.You will never be bored in Side.At night all of the many bars and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk,or 5 minute taxi ride.

Side pronounced See-Day is known as Turkey`s jewel in the crown.Situated on Turkey`s southern coast it is one of Turkeys hottest regions.The average summer temperature ranges from 90-130 degrees by day and 80-90 degrees by night,with an average sea temperature of 80 degrees.Side and the surrounding area has many historical sites,all of which can be visited by booking with one of the many excursions available.One of the most impresive is to a place called Pamukalle which is the site of an old Roman town and ampitheatre.The landscape is of limestone which looks like snow.There is also a Roman spa where cold water has to be added so that the water is cool enough to bathe in.Situated to the east is Alanya and to the west is Antalya which are both large towns and have large harbours.Both are steeped in history with castles etc and trips from Side are available where a coach will take you there and you can return along the coast by boat.Manavgat 6km the nearest town to Side is the site of a very impresive turquoise blue large river waterfall with picnic area.A weekly market is also held here where you can barter for designer T-shirts,jeans and jewelery and is where the main large banks can be found.Side is where Anthony and Cleopatra spent their honeymoon.Most of the town dates back to 2AD and many parts were raised to the ground by invading pirates.It was the main Mediteranean port for many years and had the largest mediteranean fleet based there.It was the main centre of trade including slaves which were sold in the town.Alanya is well worth a visit,the drive there is a coastal drive and again the town is steeped in history with 2 castles.The town is surrounded by double fortified walls and its main castle is located high up on the cliffside overlooking the sea.This is a much larger town than Side with far more shops and a larger ocean harbour.Many bars/restaurants are to be found along the palm lined harbour front. |

The beach of Side hosts every imaginable water sport including paragliding,jet skiing,water skiing,banana boats,snorkeling and diving.The beach slopes gradually into the sea so it is safe for children.The town has a Roman ampitheatre and a Greek like temple situated on the beach which are both illuminated at night.The ampitheatre is the site where gladiators fought and was built in the year 2AD.It is still in use today and due to its accustic qualities holds concerts during the summer months ranging from clasical to modern music.There are numerous bars and restaurants,especially on the waterfront by the harbour,Turkey is renowned as having one of the finest cuisines in the world comming 3rd behind China and France.There are also many bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the apartment.Side has a unique and charming atmosphere and can be enjoyed by all ages.The town is woven with colorfull alleyways with shops selling jewelery,clothes and carpets and if you need more money for the bargains ATM machines can be found here.In contrast there are three nightclubs one of which has no roof,a swimming pool and a floor which elevates over 3 floors.There are horse riding stables within a 10 min drive offering both day and overnight treks into the mountains.White water rafting is available in Koprulu Canyon which is approx 40km away and can be booked from one of the excursion outlets,or if a car is hired from one of Side`s many outlets can be done independantly,Fishing,sailing,go-carts,quad bikes and jeep safaris are also all available.An aqua park is situated approx 45 mins drive away.Turkeys premier golf resort is approx 35 mins drive away and is home to 7 Nick Faldo designed world championship courses.Skiing is also avalable approx 50km away in the mountain range behind the apartments.The season runs between January and April.The warm climate of Turkey allows for skiing in the morning and swimming in the afternoon.All in all Side is a place of interest for all ages and interests where you can go on historic/places of interest excursions,water themed activities or just relax in the peacefull tranquility by the poolside of the apartments. |
