Sarre is within the Gran Paradiso mountain community and boasts a wide variety of ski slopes: cross-country runs in Cogne (15 km away) and downhill skiing in Pila (15 km away). For mountain walkers there are numerous opportunities for snow shoe or traditional excursions on foot, both in the Gran Paradiso Park and other valleys running alongside.
The historical centre of Sarre is well known for its castle, home to 3612 chamois and ibex horns. We also recommend a trip to the beautiful town of Aosta, with its remarkable Franco-Italian culture and roman and medieval remains.
