Castillo Del Mar is situated in the unspoilt canarian fishing village of Punta Mujeres, away from mass tourism & only 80 meters from the sea. The apartments and studios have been fully renovated offering tasteful and comfortable accommodation within the heart of a canarian village by the sea.
Restaurants, mini markets, traditional tapas bars & cafes are all within walking distance and the village boasts natural sea swimming pools, very safe for children. In the neighbouring village of Arrieta there is a sandy beach around 1 1/2 kilometers away and heading north to Orzola there is a beautiful white sandy lagoon, excellent for snorkelling.
There are sunbathing and dining areas all around the house and the roof terrace offers more sunloungers, dining areas and magnificent sea views. The popular tourist attraction on the Island, the Jameous Del Agua is within walking distance from the village and there are some beautiful walks nearby. Haria, the valley of thousand palms is close by, as well as The Mirador Del rio and the delightful Cactus Gardens.
An ideal holiday destination to relax and chill, or use as a base to explore the amazing sights Lanzarote has to offer.

The Lanzarote region

Punta Mujeres is situated in the North East of the Island and is next door or virtually joined on to the village of Arrieta, around a 15 minute car ride from Costa Teguise. It has retained a rustic canarian appeal and is not over developed. It is in the district of Haria, "valley of thousand palms",where Saturday morning markets take place selling local crafts, organic produce, local artists and musicians. The next village heading further north is Orzola where you can catch a ferry to the beautiful unspoilt Island of La Graciosa. There are many famous tourist attractions nearby including the Jameous Del Agua, the Green caves, Mirador Del Rio, The Cactus gardens, to name but a few. Unique to Punta Mujeres are several natural sea swimming pools throughout the village and a short drive heading to Orzola brings you to the "hidden Lagoon", beautiful white sand dunes blown over from the Sahara and clear blue waters where you can walk out for miles. There are not many traditional villages left of the Island where you can experience the real Lanzarote, local people, local produce and traditions.

Punta Mujeres area

Festivals take place in Punta Mujeres the first two weeks of September and the village comes alive for these weeks, with carnivals and parades around the village! They decorate their boats and fill them with local wines and produce, with local musicians playing traditional music.

Further details indoors: The 3 bedroom apartment is situated on the ground floor and has it's own private entrance. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, a double sofa bed and an extra large en suit bathroom. There are a further two double bedrooms both with en suit bathrooms. French doors take you out to the terrace and pool. The lounge has two leather sofas, a dining table and six chairs, tv, dvd, sterio and an assortment of books and games. The kitchen is open plan with a breakfast bar and 4 bar stools. There is a washing machine,kettle, oven, hob, toaster, coffee machine and a full size fridge freezer. The 2 bedroom apartment is situated on the 1st floor of the house and has a delightful large kitchen with washine machine erc & dining area, 2 double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles and a tasteful good size modern bathroom. Stairs take you up to the roof top lounge with panaramic views of the sea, a sofa bed for extra sleeping and two relaxer chairs, sky tv, etc. A door takes you from the lounge out to the vast roof terrace, (around 200 sq meters), with sun loungers, dining table & relaxer chairs. The three studio apartments are also situated on the 1st floor of the house. Two of them contain double beds and sliding patio doors to a secluded balcony and the other contains two single beds. They all have, tv's & dvd players, table & chairs & kitchenettes equipped with, fridge, hob, toaster, kettle & microwaves. The studios are compact, but ideal for walkers, cyclists or people who just want a place to rest their head and explore the Island.
Further details outdoors: By the pool on the ground floor there sun loungers for bathing, sheltered outdoor dining areas and an outside shower. Tasteful planted areas are all around the house and a games area with table tennis & basket ball. The roof terace has more sun loungers and dining areas with panoramic views of the sea and mountains. This really is a beautiful comfortable property set in an unspoilt rustic Canarian village.
