Casa Vilo is ideally situated between the towns of Periana and Riogordo. Periana is 5kms away and offers many bars and small shops, including a number of small food stores. We suggest trying Cafe Verdugo for a typical Spanish supper. The festival of San Isidro is celebrated in the town around the 15th May and fiestas also take place in August. Periana is known for its olive oil and melocoton(peaches). From Periana, just 1km from Casa Vilo is Mondron which is also famous for its olive oil and further along the road is Riogordo (approximately 12kms), famous for its El Paso (passion play). People travel long distances to come and see the El Paso, which is put on by the villagers.

If sightseeing is your idea of a great get away then Casa Vilo in the heart of the Axarquia region of the Costa del Sol is well situated for visiting historic cities. Malaga is only a 45 minute drive or bus ride; the Mezquita in Cordoba is a fantastic sight to see, as is the valley of Ronda, without forgetting The Alhambra Palace in Granada. How about an overnight stay in Sevilla!
Of course if relaxing is your requirement then lazy days by the pool here at Casa Vilo might suit you best. The beaches of Malaga, Torre del Mar and Nerja are all within easy driving distance with Torre del Mar being just 30 minutes away.

The white hilltop villages of the Axarquia, Granada's Arabic quarter and The Alhambra Palace and the picturesque beaches of Nerja are just some of the attractions. Other recommended day trips include Malaga's Picasso museum and the wonderful tapas bars in the centro historico, the fabulous Moorish architecture of Cordoba, the hot springs at Alhama de Granada, and the lake at Beremejales and the gorgeous scenery at El Chorro Gorge. Seville, Ronda, Cordoba and Nerja are all accessible for a pleasant day trip or a relaxing night away.

To secure your booking we will require a 25% non-refundable deposit. The balance is payable 8 weeks before your arrival. In the case of bookings taking place less than 8 weeks before your holiday, payment will be due at time of booking.
