As the ferry pulls away from the jetty the children all whoop and run across the jetty and start diving bombing and swan diving into the Formosa. Its a very popular game and the teenage boys spend a lot of time (watching the girls in skimpy bikini's) while perfecting their impressive dives. A short walk along the main footpath that leads from the lagoon beaches to the large sandy beach you come to the children's playground and Cafe Convivio - our little villa is just behind here. As you approach you will walk down a little pathway lined with pepper and mimosa trees. The whitewashed walls of the villa can be seen tucked down the pathway backing onto the tidal lagoon that if you are lucky enough to be there when there is a really high tide the water will lap at the back of the garden!

Inside the villa is a open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. Off this area there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Look up and you can see the high pine panelled ceiling and a mezzanine open plan room - up here is another bedroom and more generous living space. Outside the villa there is a grassy front garden and terrace with sun loungers and at the back of the villa is an enclosed terrace with tables and chairs and a brick BBQ. There is also another grassy garden and views towards the Ria Formosa and the beautiful sunsets.

There are all the modern facilities you need including cooker, washing machine, fridge & freezer and TV & DVD player - but you seriously ...... you will not be interested in TV! Robins Nest on Armona Island (Isla De Armona) is a perfect retreat for families, singles, couples - anyone who needs to 'get away from it all' and those who intend to write that long thought of book. Distances: Olhao is the closest town – easily reached from Armona by ferry. There is a large farmers market and a supermarket, banks, cafes, various shops

For low and mid season rentals securing deposit must be paid on time of booking this is 50% of the total booking cost.
For high and peak season rentals the deposit required is 25%. All deposits are non refundable. All rentals - the balance is to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of EUR300 is payable before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded in full within 14 days after departure if the property has been left in an appropriate condition.

The quoted rates includes maid service with regular change of sheets & towels and complimentary welcome basket including wine and food on arrival. The rental includes preparation of the villa also cleaning on departure and heating and/or air conditioning. All bed linen, bath and beach towels are provided.

Cancellation refunds:
Up to 8 weeks - loss of deposit
4-8 weeks - 50% of rate refunded
2-4 weeks - 25% of rate refunded
Less than 2 weeks - no refund

Changeover days are flexible but during the summer months it is more likely to be on a Saturday or Wednesday. It is necessary to vacant the villa by 10.30am on the day of departure in the high season. We can make arrangements to store your bags.

Accessibility Suitable for the mobility impaired but please remember that you have to get on and off the boat to access the island. The villa is suitable for small children, but there is no stair gate and you will have to supervise your children. Notes on accommodation Villa is suitable for up to a maximum of 6 people. Highchair and baby cot available at no extra cost. But must be pre-arranged before arrival. The property is strictly non smoking. Travel It is not necessary to hire a car – we can arrange the airport transfer for you for other times of the year.
