Home description

Lemon Tree Villa has all the home comforts you may need and is located in an ideal setting for either a beach or golf holiday. The vila is located on the side of a beautiful nature reserve and the terrace has a great view of the lake. On the other side of the villa there are lemon and orange groves. The location is quiet and peaceful but if you want entertainment and nightlife it is close enough to a town. Only a short walk away is a great restaurant and commercial centre with shops and bars.

The Costa Blanca/valencia region

The Costa Blanca boasts one of the best climates in Europe. It has over 320 days of sunshine each year, with average midday temperatures of 21degrees C. and remarkably low rainfall.

Torrevieja is an old fishing town, with its own harbour and small fishing fleet, market and funfair. There are restaurants by the sea and a new development with Hypermarket, Bowling, Cinema, Amusements and a selection of restaurants just outside. Bounded by the beautiful Mediterranean on one side and thousands of acres of fruit groves inland, the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and within moments you can be driving in picturesque open countryside, where Trips to Alicante (promenade), Elche (park of palms), Murcia (Gardens, theatre), Cartagena (Roman settlement), Mar Menor (inland sea), La Manga and hiking in the mountains are all within an hours drive on modern roads with little traffic.
Guardamar del Segura / Elraso area
Within 15 minute drive you have 3 Golf courses Villamartin which has an abundance of olive trees and well placed bunkers to make it a challenging course for players of all abilities. Las Ramblas which is a stunning, but short course and is most challenging. High trees, natural fairways and ravines feature strongly in this memorable course. Campoamor which is situated, in two valleys with magnificent views and with a beautiful clubhouse to finish off the day. Campoamor requires a 36 or less handicap
and within 10 minute drive from this property there is La Finca Golf Course where a new clubhouse is being built to service the Spanish Open and La Marquesa, Tee times can be booked one week in advance at Las Ramblas and 3 days in advance at Campoamor

No need to bring your clubs as you can hire them at the courses. In addition you can also hire electric buggies. The courses all have eighteen holes, putting and chipping greens and practice areas. There are also cafeteria’s/ restaurants where you can unwind with something to eat and drink after your round.

For the hard to please a 30 minute drive further south will bring you to La Manga the world famous golf resort, with three eighteen hole courses to choose from. What more can the enthusiastic golfer ask for!

Please note that most have a strict dress code and require a handicap card to play.

Torrevieja has it own Water Park Aquopolies and there is also a Water Park in Quesada which is a 10 minute drive from this property.

A great day out can be had at the Rio Safari park, located on the Elche - Santa Pola road. The park has a wide range of animals on display as well as swimming pools and water slides. There are also dolphin displays to watch. Further details and prices can be had on 966 63 82 88.

Located in Benidorm, which is 55-minute drive, enjoy one of the most beautiful and fun theme parks in the world. There's something for everyone: shows, thrill rides and rides for the little ones. Come and have some fun at Terra Mitica or visit the water park at Aqualandia

Guardamar Del Segura area

The area has everything you need for a fantastic holiday!!

The beaches to the north of Torrevieja are long and shallow and in common with most Costa Blanca Beaches are awarded the blue flag each year for facilities and water quality.

Some of the best golf courses in Spain can be found in the area.

Guardamar del Segura (the closest town) is a small typical Spanish costal town and is about 4 km away. It lies on the river Segura in an evniable costal position. The town has a wonderful landscaped park where you can sit and relax, together with long sandy beaches and nearby pine forests. Sand deposits left by the Segura river meeting the sea cover an area of over 800 hectars running parallel to the coast. The threat of the town being covered by sand was a real possibility and for this reason the huge expanse of pine forest leading down to the beaches was planted in the early 1900's. The white sandy beaches of Guardamar are some of the finest in the region stretching more than 7 kms.

The history of Guardamar dates from the 10th Century when it was inhabited by the Moors. The remains of the castle can be seen and of particular interest is the Iberian settlement of Cabezo Lucero where La Dama de Guardamar (lady of Guardamar) dating from the 4th Century BC can be found.

Local fiestas are celebrated in Guardamar all year round. The main festivals are at Easter and on the 21st June when bonfires are lit in the town and fireworks explode from the castle. In September and October the festivals of Virgin of Fatima and Rosario are celebrated. They are a vonderful opportunity to take part in traditional Spanish custom and are a fun way to spend an evening.

The local area Sunday market is within walking distance and is great for local bargains and breakfast. It is only a 5-minute drive to miles of safe white sandy beaches at Guardamar or 10 minutes to Torrevieja with nature parks, salt lagoons, and Europe’s best healing climate according to the World Health Organisation. You can stop and pick a fresh orange or lemon and enjoy the fabulous bounty that nature has gifted to this part of the world. Especially beneficial for those with rheumatism, asthma or skin problems

The villa is easy to reach either from Alicante or Murcia airport no more than 25min from either airport.
There is a regular bus service to all the local towns and further afield. Also there are plenty of taxis available some speak english.
I recomment bmi baby for cheap flights and have also found Monach to be of good value.
I have also found Carjet to be the cheapest and most reliable for car hire.

Please note that a 20% reservation deposit is payable on booking, and the balance is payable 8 weeks before your holiday. ,A refundable deposit of £100 to cover damage/ breakages is required with balance.

For longer winter breaks, reduced rates are negotiable. All prices include electricity, linen and water, Please supply own beach towels. There is a one off 60 Euro cleaning and laundry charge payable at the villa on handing over the keys. Cot and Highchair hire are also available.An airport transfer can be made available at a cost of approx 40 euros per car each way paid to the driver.

Hi Derrik and Deborah,

I am just writing to give you some feedback on our recent stay in Lemon Tree Villa.

We had a really lovely time, helped by the fact that the Villa was well equipped and comfortable. We found everything we needed ,the villa is very nicely situated in a residential area with no problem neighbors or noise issues which is just what you need when you want to relax! :-)

The kitchen benefitted greatly from the American Style fridge, the ice maker was a dream! And the BBQ was very handy - we used it quite a few times as eating out on the balcony was perfect in such good weather.

Our children benefited from the pool which they used each day and they came unable to swim and almost could by the end of the holiday!

All in all we had a wonderful and relaxed holiday and we found the Villa perfect for us and what we needed.

We will definitely recommend you to all of our friends and family, and we hope to come back another year and stay again.
