Home description

Family run, it is a perfect location for cultural holidays and wine & food tours. Our quite property is at walking distance from the village centre where you will find all comforts: well-stocked italian supermarket, shops, bars, local market on Monday and Thursday, hairdresser and barber’s shop, chemist’s shop, banks and post office.

The Tuscany region

Chianti is certainly the most picturesque countryside in Italy. Its famous red wine Chianti Classico brings the name of our land worldwide and after staying here you will never forget us. The choice to stay in Chianti is the right one, even if you decide to visit Tuscan famous towns such as Florence, Siena, Pisa: coming back "home" you will find healthy air and quite nights. After discovering Tuscan cultural sites and traditions, we will be happy to suggest you local restaurants and small "trattoria", where the cooking is run in the old way. We can book for you museum tickets in Florence, wine-tasting and oil-tasting in local farms.

Each season has its highlights:
January-February: you’ll appreciate the beauties of our country and towns far away from crowded periods.
March-April-Mai: springtime by its light will enrich you stay
June-July-August: there are at least one thousand reasons welcoming you in our coloured country
September-October: it’s vintage time and it’s plenty of village festivals where to taste and buy local products.
November: it’s harvest time for olives, chestnuts, truffles. New oil and wine. Village festivals everywhere.
December: Christmas shopping at open-air markets looking for original presents

By car from northern or southern Italy: A1 exit Firenze-Certosa + Autopalio Siena 4 corsie exit San Casciano then on to San Casciano and Mercatale Val di Pesa (Firenze Certosa-Mercatale 15 minutes).
By car from Pisa: S.G.C. road Pisa-Firenze exit Ginestra Fiorentina. Go on to San Casciano Val di Pesa. Then follow the direction for Mercatale V.P. (Pisa-Mercatale 1h.20)
By public transport: train to Florence central station SMN and then bus Sita to Mercatale Val di Pesa (45 minutes)
