The spa Calella de Palafrugell is known for keeping its antique charm protected, notwithstanding all changes and modernising. It was earlier a fishermens town, and now the seafoods are enjoyed by the visitors, and is the basis for the appreciated local gastronomy. In Calella and Llafranc there are different types of water sports like; sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. In the mountains of Calella lies a beautiful botanical garden, around a small castle where an important jazz-festival is held every summer (dance and other music).
