Home description

Le Hameau des Trois Collines is a new development within Pont Royal - tucked away at the far end of the Domaine - peaceful and quiet yet only a short stroll from the village square. Large 'wrap around' terrace and private garden stocked with lavender, rosemary and mature shrubs, with stunning views of the Luberon and barbeque for al fresco dining. There are two shared private pools, one situated about 15m from villa, the other larger infinity pool about 200m from the villa. Free internet access.

Our house is perfectly situated to explore this beautiful part of Provence - within easy access to the Luberon villages, the cities of Aix en Provence and Avignon and the wild Carmargue.

PONT ROYAL
Pont Royal's origins date from the XIII century. Le Moulin de Vernegues, a 17th century manor house (now a beautiful hotel and restaurant) located within the Domaine once used to mill grain for the Archbishop of Arles. The centre of the village complex in Pont Royal is a short stroll from the villa and has been beautifully designed around a church, in the style of an old Provencal village, with lots of attention to detail - stone steps through arched walkways lead to small village squares with cafes flanked by fountains, pine trees and terracotta pots filled with flowers. The main square has restaurants, a tapas bar, souvenir shop, wine cave and delicatessen and during the summer months there are twice weekly markets selling local produce, fashion and crafts. There is a whole range of on-site activities, including children's clubs and play areas as well as sports and plenty of entertainment to keep the adults busy too! There is an additional charge for some of the activities which can be booked at the main reception area which also offers wifi connection and a cash machine.

By train: TGV staions at Avigonon and Aix-en-Provence
Car hire recommended although we can recommend a mini bus service if you prefer to be collected and brought to the villa.

Further details indoors: The ground floor of the villa is open plan with comfy seating for 6 people, we have provided a large selection of dvds, games for all the family, cds plus an ipod docking station. There is also a large box of duplo (lego) for younger members of the family. The kitchen is well equipped with a large number of utensils plus regional cookery books so you can make the most of all the locally available produce. Three bedrooms - master with ensuite shower room - lovely views from the two back bedrooms - front bedroom has balcony and overlooks the pool.
Further details outdoors: The villa has a large 'wrap around' terrace so you can make the most of the sunshine at all times of the day. Outside table with comfortable padded seats plus sun lounger and parasol. Large gas barbeque for long lazy meals al fresco. The garden is stocked with lavender, rosemary and mature shrubs. Shared pool about 50m from frond door while larger infinity pool and small paddling pool are about 200m away - both pools have sun beds and wash room facilities. Underground garage available for your use and extra storage if needed.
