Casoli is a small citadel some 30 km from Lucca. The main characteristic feature of these citadels is that they are built fanned around the church and are marvellously and dominantly positioned. The small streets of the citadel are paved with original slates and, as much as the houses, they have been able to retain their authenticity. This is an ideal location to spend your holiday by the sea or in natural surroundings; to experience local customs and traditions whilst having ample possibillities to take trips to the well-known cities of art such as Lucca and Florence. The surrounding area offers possibilities for excursions on foot or horseback. Furthermore, you can take flights on delta wings or just sit and fish at the small lakes and rivers.
