Great days out with the family are within easy reach as the villa is 2km from Aqualand, 3kms from Zoo Marine and 3kms from Armacao de Pera beach. The villa is also within walking distance to a major supermarket, authentic Portuguese restaurants, bars and cafes. Amendoeira Golf Resort which consists of Oceanico Faldo course and Oceanico O'Connor course is 2kms away. Salgados Golf Resort is 5mins drive from the villa. Faro airport is 49km away.

Alcantarilha is located 3km from Armacao de Pera near the historic city of silves. Nestled amongst orange and fig groves,there are some interesting buildings to visit here-the Misericordia church, Our Lady of Carmo chapel and the parish church, Our Lady 'da conceicao' is famous for its rare 'capela dos ossos' (chapel of bones). Along the cobbled streets are various restaurants which caters for all tastes from mouth watering sea fish to Italian and of course authentic Portuguese, a post office, small shops, cafes and bars with outside seating. The Algarve shopping mall which is a short distance away has a 6 screen cinema and bowling alley. Also the beautiful old Moorish town of Silves has steep cobbled streets, the old castle, river and assorted shops and restaurants. Convenient to the A22 road link which makes it a short drive to superbikes at Portimao circuit. Close localitity to golf courses. The Oceanico Amendoeira Faldo golf resort is 2km away. Designed by Nick Faldo with strategic play in mind this 6,604mtrs, par-72 championship course demands careful positioning to score well. The Oceanico Amendoeira O'Connor golf resort is 2km away perfectly complementing the Faldo course, whilst taking advantage of the rich soil in contrast to the arid hillside. Christy O'Connor jnrs course at Amendoeira offers no less of a challenge. Salgados golf course is 5km away. The course, a 6080m links, has many water hazards and requires much skill in the approach to the greens. The drive is also essential to achieve good results, making the course pleasant especially for skilled golfers.

Air-conditioning available at extra cost. Secure off street parking for 3 cars. Villa is a non-smoking area. We do not accept pets. A safe is installed in the villa for security. Larger parties can be catered for subject to extra charge per head. All towels and linen are included in the rental price and are changed on a weekly basis.
