It is within 10 minutes walking distance to the Gale and to the Salgados beach and to the Salgados Golf course (18 holes).

The Algarve region

Situated on the extreme South of Portugal, this part of the territory was the last to be conquered from the Moors by the Portuguese king in 1292. Traces of the Moorish presence are still seen in its unique architecture - terraces, chimneys and whitewashed houses.

However, the distance that was difficult to cover back in the 13th century is no longer an obstacle thanks to the modern Lisbon-Albufeira-Castro Marim road (IP1) or Faro international airport. Albufeira Salgados / Gale area

Salgados is a beautiful long sandy beach.
Gale beach is only within 10 minute walk and offers water sports.
Variety of beach restaurants are on offer along the beach, Gale being very popular in early summer to watch the sun set into the sea!
If you enjoy walking you can walk west along the beach to the next resort along which is called Armacao de Pera.
Salgados 18 hole golf course is situated in one of the best-known regions of the Algarve, between Albufeira and Arma

A number of cheap airlines are now flying to Faro.

Take a look at www.skyscanner.net and this compares all prices for the cheap airlines such as Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Monarch, Flybe, Jet2, etc.

For scheduled flights e.g. British Airways or TAP, then www.expedia.co.uk is a good site to look at.

From Faro the house is approximately a 50 minute drive.

Car hire is the easiest option.

Alternatively, if you do not want to drive from the airport, we can arrange an airport transfer and then have a car delivered to the house

Upon booking a deposit of 25% is required to guarantee the booking. The remaing 75% are paid in cash, on arrival and in exchange for the apartment keys.

Please be also prepared for the following: Owner may ask for a refundable damage deposit of aprox. 50 euros per person. This deposit is also payable on arrival, and will be fully returned to you by the owner on your departure and in case no damages were done to the property.
