Aigues Mortes Port Du Roy area

The main attraction is the city itself: Enjoy a medieval immersion and stroll in the old city. Spending one half day here is a good idea, it's pleasant for the eyes, hsitory, monuments and old military architecture.
As this city is well known for tourism, the infrastructure is aligned: restaurants, hotels and shopings are available
In 1240, Saint Louis decided to build a city close to his kingdom in order to have a direct access to the Mediterranean Sea. Seven centuries later, the fortification still dominates the Camargue as one of the most well preserved medieval French building.
Aigues Mortes is a Medieval town with ramparts that stretch for 1 mile around the town. Markets every wednesday and Sunday mornings with Bricabrac market on Saturdays in high season. La Grande miotte has market every evening 5-9pm with safe beaches for children as does Grau du Roi the fishing village at the end of the canal which you can access from the Marina.

Rent deposit 30% AT TIME OF BOOKING AND REMAINDER NO MORE THAN 8 WEEKS FROM ARRIVAL. AN ADDITIONAL £250 SECURITY DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WHICH WILL BE REPAID WITHIN 2 WEEKS AFTER YOUR DEPARTURE. HOLIDAYS BOOKED LESS THAN 8 WEEKS FROM DEPARTURE MUST BE PAID IN FULL AT TIME OF BOOKING.

Bookings of less than 7 nights attract a cleaning and changeover charge of 60 euros. All bookings over 7 nights linen,towels and cleaning included in price.

We found Aigues Mortes itself a gem of a town. Putting aside its history it was so close for spending evenings at the many restaurants. The general location is brilliant for touring and its close proximity to Montpellier satisfied the shoppers in my party.

The villa was lovely and in a beautiful location on the water. I loved the village too it was charming. I appreciated Debbie from the management team she was very friendly and helpful particularly as this was my first visit to the area.
