Thanks to the central location near the sandy beach of Platanes (5 km) and the city of Rethymnon (12 km), the holiday residence is a good base. In addition to the 20 km long coast at Rethymnon, the city itself is lovely for a visit, for example to the authentic centre and Venitian port. Lake Kournas is about 20 minute away in the car. In addition, by car you can explore the rest of the island with the many authentic villages, culture and plenty of nature with hiking options. The beautiful monastery of Arkadi is only 10 km away. The village of Pigi is about 300 metres away on foot, and offers the necessary supplies for daily shopping and a few small restaurants. The holiday home is easily accessible from the airports of Heraklion and Chania (both about 75 km).
